One of the many awe-inspiring things I enjoyed during my trip to Joshua Tree was being able to see the stars. This incredible national park boasts having the darkest nights in Southern California, making it the perfect setting for stargazing. They even host massive star watching events that attract a great deal of visitors every year. Unlike Los Angeles, you can actually see the constellations and the vast beauty that is the night sky in the middle of the desert. This made me think about how important it is to be in tune with mother nature as we could be missing its beauty in urban life.

During the day when the stars weren't visible, I thought I could bring a little sparkle to Joshua Tree myself. Why just gaze at stars when you can wear them? The Celestial dress by Beach Riot made for the perfect rockstar look centerpiece and pairing it with my Courtney Love x Nasty Gal Zap Club Gloves made this look out of this world. The over- the -knee boots by Sam Edelman were perfect with the mini dress and even added an edgy vibe. In order to brave the chilly weather I topped it all off with a Cotton On denim jacket. To add some extra detail I wore the broken arrow bolo necklace and a few accent rings by Maison de Morgana, a neo-gothic and avant-garde jewelry line handcrafted in downtown LA. It was so much fun shooting this look and brought the saying "leave a little sparkle wherever you go" to life.
