Simply put, this blog is about passion. My deepest passions happen to lie in fashion, interior design and travel, and this blog is my drawing board.

Walking On A Dream

Walking On A Dream

Spring is a time when our closets go through major clean-outs but there are always those crucial pieces one must have in order to complete your wardrobe. One of those pieces would be the Shirt dress, which every girl should own for an effortless put together look. My recent trip to New York was a whirlwind so my crisp blue Milly shirtdress was the perfect statement piece that had me ready to go in no time. I was instantly drawn to its light cotton poplin material, the cinched waist and open back detail as well as cute ties on the sleeves that added an original twist.  Together with the most recent addition to my collection, my buttery soft Dear France heels, with their stitched detail in the back , and mesh panel made for the perfect dynamic duo for an evening of drinks out in Manhattan. A shirtdress piece has the versatility of translating from day to evening wear when accessorized accordingly.

The little sleep that I did get during this trip was at none other than the Dream Downtown Hotel. My room had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, in my entire life... No seriously. I'm not being dramatic at all, well maybe a little, but still, it truly was a Dream (No pun intended). From the fantastic location that is near everything (Chelsea Market, Soho, Line Hotel, etc), to the innovative atmosphere, this hotel is truly inspiring for all us dreamers. Another factor that makes this the perfect place to stay on your next trip to NY is all the incredible restaurants and bars they have on site, like Bodega Negra, Tao and PHD rooftop lounge. I find that many hotels lack in this department, so it was quite refreshing to stay somewhere where you could experience the best of the best all in once place.
