Dancing Queen

Dancing Queen

Who said cocktail attire had to be stern and boring? Why not experiment with a beautiful print to make sure you are the centre of attention at any event?

I am positively obsessed with print so the Clover Canyon creations are naturally a big favourite of mine as they incorporate vivid prints in their designs.  Everything about the brand screams colour and even the name gets you thinking of desert flowers and multicoloured sunsets. They are famed for using garments made out of neoprene (think scuba diving) as this material lends itself so well to a bold pattern.

I fell in love with this flowery 20s inspired shift dress with a flared hem and had to have it in two different prints. Being on the tall side I tend to gravitate towards midi skirts and dresses for a cocktail occasions as I feel they look the most flattering on a taller frame and this shape in particular hides a multitude of sins.

With accessories you can either make a statement by incorporating other bright pieces like I did here in the colour way of the print or go for more understated options in black or nude.

This ensemble makes for a unique look and the peplum hem detail will move with every twirl to ensure you are the ultimate Dancing Queen!
