Simply put, this blog is about passion. My deepest passions happen to lie in fashion, interior design and travel, and this blog is my drawing board.

Sleek and Shiny

Sleek and Shiny

By the time it was Sunday I was already in desperate need of a break to be honest. Although I was beyond excited for my activities that day, I could definitely feel the tension in the air as it was 9/11. Fifteen years have gone by since this tragedy occurred and to this day the negative affects are evident. My heart goes out to the families who suffered losses in this attack.

After having a slower morning to myself, I got ready for the shows/presentations I had to attend.  My girl Anita Sun came over to work her magic on my hair and I absolutely loved the outcome. We went with a slick back hairstyle and added an edgy feel with some side braids. My edgy glam outfit consisted of an off the shoulder crisp white Tibi shirt, an asymmetric Vivienne Westwood skirt, Sophia Webster stud embellished sandals, and Marni Necklace. I am super into metallics at the moment and the layered skirt in this gorgeous high shine silver was the exact statement piece this outfit needed. After all the glam, I headed off to my first commitment of the day, the TOME fashion show.

TOME is a New York based brand that is known for being both luxurious and functional at the same time. Not only is this clothing company know for being amongst the finalists of the prestigious CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund in 2013, but they are also heavily involved in fighting against human trafficking. Their show consisted of lot of flowy skirts, dresses, and pants in a mostly white and black color combos that makes it so versatile and easy to transition from day to night. I can’t wait to get my hands on some of these garments to have in my everyday wardrobe.
