Simply put, this blog is about passion. My deepest passions happen to lie in fashion, interior design and travel, and this blog is my drawing board.

Safari Chic in New York

Safari Chic in New York

Guys, I survived the first day of New York Fashion Week! Started off this hectic, but exhilarating few days by attending the Nicholas K show. Planning different outfits for the shows/presentations takes major preparation and I wanted to make sure I made a statement with my ensemble.  This look consisted of an olive green Vanessa Seward lace-up stretch-cotton dress that comes with a detachable belt to give it a beautiful form. I paired the dress with my black cutout suede Aquazurra sandals that make every outfit classy. But the piece that got a plethora of attention is my Lulu Guinness Kooky Cat Perspex Orb Clutch, since it’s such a unique piece I was contented that I saved it for fashion week.

After getting all dolled up I headed over to the Nicholas K show location. It was so refreshing to start off this week with such amazing visual stimulation. The luxury brand brought its desert inspired style to the city with a display of long caftan style dresses and asymmetrical jackets. For Spring collections many brands go with brighter palettes, but Nicholas used more neutral, nature reflecting colors that truly emulates its safari chic aesthetic.

My safari glam meets New York look definitely suited the occasion and I was so glad I wore what I did. I’ve come to the realization over the many times I’ve been to fashion week that it is so important to trust your instincts with your style. Select outfits that are so “you”, but obviously with an added flair for the glamour that is fashion week.  Also a big thank you to Popsugar for featuring this look on their Day 2 of NYFW street style report (see here or below)

Stay tuned for more of my fashion week adventures!
