Sweet Watermelon

Moving from London to LA has been such a drastic weather change since it appears to be summer all year long in SoCal. I try to stay cool with fresh fruit for snacking and watermelon is one of my most favored choices. Truthfully, I like watermelon flavored anything, so why not wear it as well?  As you can recall from my second to last post, I am enamored with the Cooper & Ella brand. When I got my hand on this top I was eager to style it and capture this funky, yet understated piece.

Slices of watercolor watermelons add sweet, summery style to a perfectly structured button down shirt that's as versatile as it is cute. I rolled up the sleeves and tucked it into one of my staple Summer pieces, this Rachel Roy denim skirt. I've had this min-skirt on repeat every week cause I just can't get enough of it. To add a more retro feel I wore tan colored Quay Australia sunnies and a Loeffler Randall crossbody bag with a side tassel. See ladies? You don't have to fear unconventional prints and styles. Hopefully this inspires you to step outside your comfort zone.
