As temperatures in the evening are beginning to drop I can't help but get excited to put away my Summer clothes and bring out new warmer styles. Since LA can get chilly, but definitely not as much as London, I try to find a balance between staying warm and not roasting under so much clothing. This outfit that I put together is the perfect look for an evening out filled with holiday festivities. It's so cute I might even wear it again for Thanksgiving dinner, (#dontjudgeme). 

A hot trend during this time of year is a pair of over the knee boots; a new addition to my fall wardrobe are these Sam Edelman suede boots. My long sleeve brown polka dot dress is by a newer brand called Bishop & Young. It is an LA based brand that has risen to be well-known amongst A-listers in about 2 years due to their understated elegant designs  (be sure to check them out). In order to accentuate my waist and add an extra detail of interest,  I wore a belt the same grey shade as the boots. This high waisted pleated cashmere coat is one I've had for years and love to recycle it every Fall when I can and last but not least I brought it all together with an oversized Alexander Wang clutch.
