Simply put, this blog is about passion. My deepest passions happen to lie in fashion, interior design and travel, and this blog is my drawing board.

Art of Layering

Art of Layering

LA has approximately 284 days of sunshine per year. This means that while other places around the world are experiencing the frigid cold weather of Fall, Los Angeles is still in this awkward Summer to Fall transition. Some days are rainy and cold and others make you want to put on a bathing suite and go to the beach. With this season confusion comes the hard task of trying to style yourself in a way that is both climate appropriate and on trend.

With this in mind, I wanted to repurpose one of my favourite summer dresses that I had on repeat during my Mediterranean travels by layering it for a cute monochrome fall look. Since this Magali Pascal Ivy dress in off white is very light and airy, I wore a black turtleneck sweater by ASOS under it to keep me warmer and also make it a bit less revealing. To create a more laidback and youthful feel I paired this outift with my Adidas originals sneakers and a neutral toned snakeskin clutch by Loeffer Randall. Layering is such a fun way to bring a new lease of life to those summer pieces and create interesting looks.
