Let your hair down

One reason that many people head to Mykonos is to party until the sun comes up; and with this in mind it comes as no surprise that there are no shortage of places to dance the night away.

A variety of bars and nightclubs will greet you; finish your Nammos beach meal by dancing on the tables at sunset and then head to Scorpios beach to hear the best DJs spinning on the decks till the early hours.

Take a walk around the town

It isn’t just party central in Mykonos; if you are staying in and around the Mykonos Town then you should definitely try to soak up some of the ethos of Greek life. To do this you can simply walk around the streets of the town, stopping at some of the local boutiques and absorbing all the beauty and style of the area.

Feeling brave? Why not hire a scooter?

If you are tired of walking, then there is no way better to see the island then on a scooter. As long as you are careful, these can offer you the chance to have some fun whilst you explore and you may get to see parts of the Island that you wouldn’t if you were simply walking!

Pay a visit to the Armenistis Lighthouse

Feeling a little adventurous? If you are then why not check out the Armenistis Lighthouse. It may be considered a bit of a hike for some, and at times the ground underfoot can be a touch tricky, but once you have reached the top you will be greeted by some of the very best views in the entire island. Perfect for an impromptu photo-shoot.

Take a picture at the Windmills

Talking of photos; one of the most photographed parts of the island has to be the iconic Mykonos Windmills. Built in the 16th century, they are not only a beautiful testament to the history of Mykonos but they also make the ideal backdrop for a holiday memory!

Where to stay?

If you have decided to head to Mykonos, then you might want to consider where you are going to stay for your break. For those who love a touch of luxury, then the Saint John Hotel is the place to go. One of the few Mykonos hotels with its own private beach, it consists of bungalow style rooms as well as a giant infinity pool with exquisite views over the Aegean sea.

Mykonos is a beautiful place to visit, so if you want a holiday in the sunshine then why not book a plane and head out for a sunshine packed break?
